Ein guter Freund von mir, der mir schon bei meiner Webseite über die Hamelner Engineers geholfen hat, erteilte mir heute die Genehmigung einige seiner Photos hier auf Military Database zu zeigen! Er selbst wünschte sich heute, das er mehr Fotos gemacht hätte!
Alan Young war seinerzeit von 1989 – 1993 mit den Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in Minden stationiert!
1990 fand eine Battalionsübung in Soltau statt, von der er folgende Bilder hier bei uns zeigen möchte! Herzlichen Dank Alan Young ex C/Sgt 1st Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders für Deine Unterstützung!

A good friend of mine who has helped me with my website about the Hamelin Engineers, gave me permission to show some of his photos here on Military Database! He wished now that he had more pictures taken during his time here in germany!
Alan Young was in the time from 1989 – 1993, stationed with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in Minden! Battalion Replen in Soltau took place in 1990!

Auch diese Bilderserie ist genial! Ein Teil der Fahrzeuge von damals ist zum Glück noch im Dienst und so dürfte ich bei Bavarian Charger ein paar davon live sehen. Alan many thanks for this great Photos!

thank you very much for sharing some of your pictures with us!
Very interesting for me because I live near Soltau, but I never knew that there was an training area! (Shame in me! 😉 )
And also nice to see pictures of the Stalwarts!

Thanks for sharing Alan! I’m proud to have your photos here! As Lars said, the Stolly is one of my favorite vehicles of the Cold War Era! The “singing” tyres, I will never forget!

Oh yeah, thats what I would like to see here on Military Database! Everytime when I saw a Stalwart I think about the old time here in Lauenstein! When the Stalwarts drove here around. The sound of the Stalwart was really great! You don’t know exactly whats going on, when a Stolly drove up the hill! Specially during the nights, when the Stolly has got misfires from the engine!
